Sumter National Forest Recap
Southeast Gravel's first event was an overwhelming success!
Held on February 9th, 2019 at the Clinton High School in Clinton, SC, the inaugural gravel event for Southeast Gravel drew in cyclists from all over. The roads traversing through the Sumter National Forest see very little traffic and the rolling terrain offers a challenge that even seasoned professionals appreciated.
Over 200 cyclists attended this inaugural event which featured a 38 mile and 68 mile option. For many riders, this was their first gravel event. Smiles were abundant and the weather really cooperated.
Everybody enjoyed the amazing BBQ and the amenities at the Clinton High School. This event will be back and even bigger for 2020, and will be part of our 5 event series!
