VIEWS! VIEWS! VIEWS!
This event is limited to only 300 riders! We are limited by space for parking as the town of Hot Springs is very small. Register now before you miss out!
Join us Saturday, June 6th, 2020 for the Hot Springs Gravel Gauntlet presented by Boyd Cycling and Southeast Gravel!
Hot Springs is on the NC/TN border about an hour northwest of Asheville. It's right in the middle of the mountains and the terrain will reflect that.
This will be the most challenging course we have in store for 2020, but you are up for it! The amazing roads, complete lack of traffic, incredible scenery, and the vibe of the small mountain town of Hot Springs all make this a bucket list event that you should NOT miss out.
There are two course options, each with a lot of gravel roads and climbing. The 24 mile course features about 80% gravel and climbs just north of Hot Springs before coming down the most picturesque paved road alongside a flowing river. Finish up your ride by taking a flat 3 mile gravel road alongside the French Broad River.
For those who want the ultimate test in their cycling abilities, the 77 mile course follows the 24 mile course for the first 20 miles. It then splits off and adds a couple of gravel climbs before heading south and climbing the behemoth HC gravel climb up to Max Patch topping out at over 4,300 feet high. From there it's all downhill (20+ miles of downhill) back into Hot Springs. The 77 mile route features over 8,000 feet of climbing!
There will be a free BBQ lunch and beer for all racers after the event!
